LAUREN LANSDOWNE IS ONLY GIVING ADVANCED LESSONS ONCE A MONTH AT THIS TIME. TEXT US AT 401-601-5832 TO BE INFORMED ON WHAT DAY THE ADVANCED LESSONS WILL BE GIVEN.
My name is Lauren Lansdowne.
I have been riding horses since I was a little girl and training them since high school. I have competed in everything from Eventing, to Show Jumping, to Endurance, to Combined Driving Events, to Pleasure Driving, to Western Versatility. The diversity in my background is what I feel makes me a good trainer, who integrates different but relevant concepts into my training style.
My experiences as an equine vet assistant, student barn intern, training assistant, show judge, and event coordinator have helped me understand horses and how they communicate and interact with their riders.
My main focus is show jumping, however, I feel that the best training approach is the one that is best for horse and rider holistically. As a trainer, my main goal is to create a stronger bond between horse and rider, and instill confidence in both, which is the most important ingredient when moving towards the show jumping ring.
I have competed at many shows of different levels, small schooling shows to the American Eventing Championships in 2007. My horse that I went to the AEC with, was a retrained OTTB, who had no knowledge of jumping when he came to me.
I hope that this holistic approach is something you believe in, as it makes a stronger horse and rider and ultimately, a more rewarding experience.
